"L’accueil a été fantastique. La chambre était parfaite. L’air climatisée bienvenue pendant cette période caniculaire. Nous l’avons apprécié même si elle était un peu bruyante. Le restaurant boléro était correct sans plus. La paella était un peu décevante. J’ai aimé l’option de ne pas demander le nettoyage complet de la chambre chaque jour en échange de boissons gratuites au bar."

"We have always stayed at Monopol when we go to Lucerne. The proximity to the train and the lake is superb. The reception staff were very personable. Even though I always consider Lucerne hotels to be quite expensive, I got a same day deal that pleased me. And the AC during this heat wave was needed and excellent! "

"Clean and comfortable, well situated for free bus into city (or 15 min walk). Only downside was Water temperature flowed hot and cold during shower. "

"This was a very comfortable property conveniently located in city center. The front desk staff were lovely and very welcoming and helpful. A nice bonus is an included breakfast buffet with everything needed for a great start to the day."

"Great location. Very convenient to all tourists site. Plus there is a beautiful park and boardwalk across from the hotel with amazing views. The hotel is very old, however the staff do a great job to ensure guests are taken care of. Plus the two bedroom option comes with 2.5 baths. Only one negative is the portable AC unit, but that’s not that much of an issue."

"I believe we had one of their best rooms with the large balcony overlooking the river. The size of the room was definitely larger than the others with two French doors leading to the balcony. The bathroom looks newly remodeled. Small shower, could use more than one towel bar and sink stopper to be able to fill sink with water. There is no AC in the hotel but they had a large Dyson fan. The location is close to a lot of boutiques and shopping along quaint cobblestone streets. Overall, we really liked it. "

"Really great modern accommodation in the heart of the old town of Lucerne. Staying with 2 teenage kids in same room, just about fitted into the high bunks. Only negative was the one feather pillow which deflated to nothing once your head hit it, so better pillows is my only gripe. "

"It was amazing. Only thing I need an air conditioner or cooler. It was hot but I couldn’t open the window because smoking didn’t stop from the bar on the 1st floor. I couldn’t breathe if I open the window. I should be patient hot or smoke. It was so hard. "
